Who We Are
Healing, Peace, and Clarity for families in mourning;
Honoring the life of Bakari Henderson.
The application process is now open for The Bakari Foundation’s 2021 Transformative Travel Experience and Retreat in Costa Rica. Serving families who have lost loved ones at the hands of another, it is our belief that travel can be used as a healing mechanism for families who have undergone this type of tragic experience. We know this is a sensitive time for any family and we would love to support the healing process.
Supporting Families During
the COVID-19 Pandemic
We are taking an active role in supporting families of Texas essential workers who lost their lives due to COVID-19 & families who applied for our Transformative Travel Experience during this unprecedented time in our country. Our goal is to provide uplifting experiences.
A thoughtful gift & video message is sent out to each family along with the opportunity for them to elect to participate in video or tele counseling services that are tailored to their specific needs at no cost. Our advisory board member, Licensed Psychiatrist Dr. Nicole Fitzpatrick, was consulted on the counseling recommendations.
If you know families of medical workers or first responders who lost their lives to COVID-19, please share their information by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Conversations for a Cause
During this time of social unrest and heightened awareness, we are doing our part to help uplift the families in need and the community by spreading love instead of hate through a series of panel discussions called “Conversations for A Cause” designed to focus on key issues where we can actively drive impact.
Compelling panelists will share their insights and expertise while giving you an opportunity to identify how you can be part of the solution.
